| Gerhard
Krauss, born in December 1928 Gerhard Krauss started professional
running when he was 40. His son asked him to be his partner for
training and preparation. Now, at the age of 74, Gerhard is able
to beat his son in almost every competition. Today Gerhard feels
healthier and fitter than 30 years ago. He successfully took part
in over 50 marathons; his basement is stuffed with documents and
cups from competitions. Newspapers and TV-stations covered stories
about him and some say he is Europe’s oldest active athlete.
Gerhard Krauss won the German Championship in Duathlon, the European
Championship in Triathlon and he is World Champion in cross-country
skiing (among the senior participants).
